A clear way to identify copyrighted material and bring a concern to our attention.

Copyright contact

Send copyright concerns about this website to info@mapsdirections-driving.com with the subject “Copyright notice”. Identify the page on mapsdirections-driving.com so we can locate the material. This is our copyright contact address; this page does not represent that we have registered a designated DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office.

We publish geographic and mapping information and respect the rights of content owners. This procedure addresses material on our website. For content hosted by a separate map provider or external website, contact the operator responsible for that material. A complaint about route accuracy is better sent as a general correction.

Information to include in a notice

If you are the copyright owner or authorized representative, provide the following information. Be specific enough to distinguish the work you own from the material you believe infringes it.

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • The copyrighted work involved, or a representative list of works.
  • The allegedly infringing material and its exact location, such as the page URL.
  • Your contact details, including address, telephone number and email.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith that the disputed use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner.

Review and response

We review identifiable complaints and may ask for clarification, remove or restrict material, or explain why further information is needed. A complaint does not automatically establish infringement. Consider whether you own the rights and whether the use is authorized before making a claim.

Only send information relevant to the complaint. Details may need to be shared with a person responsible for the disputed material or with advisers to evaluate the claim. Keep copies of the notice and the page addresses for your records.

If material was removed in error

Contact the same email address, identify the removed material and explain the suspected mistake. Where the U.S. DMCA counter-notice procedure applies, it has formal requirements, including signature, contact details, sworn statements and jurisdiction consent. The official Copyright Office resource below explains those requirements. We do not guarantee reinstatement or claim safe-harbor eligibility simply by publishing this page.
